Sherpaa is designed to mimic how we all communicate nowadays. Within Sherpaa's app, here's how our doctors and patients communicate:

  • ~95% of all communication is asynchronous (email-like, not instant real time messaging)
  • 30% of episodes of care involve photos shared with our doctors
  • 5% of the time, we jump on the phone
  • We very rarely use video

We use the communication mode that's best suited for the situation and we almost always leave it up to the patient to decide how they want to communicate with us. This means the vast majority of the time people simply want to send a message and share photos rather than set up a time to talk on the phone or video. And this makes sense because this is how most of us get work done every day at home and at work.
